Snap. Spot on. I notice nothing was said when the Pope sent his envoy ...

We are talking about the KMT, so I would say 23 mil.

most morakot victims are rc christians so pope's envoy is naturally welcome.

How about if the Taliban Pope and King Mullah Mohammed Omar offers to pray for the Katrina victims?

Will the mother of all Grand Ayatollah's the High Priest Uncle Sam welcome him and say amen?

The King and Pope of Tibet
was in Ciaolin offering prayers to the mostly Christian victims.

If this is an act of RELIGIOUS tyranny by the Ma administration then how can one describe
the US of A's treatment of
Mullah Mohammed Omar who like the Dalai also is King and Pope of the Talibans?

You're seriously comparing the Dalai Lama, winner of the Nobel PEACE Prize, to the Taliban Islamofascist who's an accessory to the 9-11 massacre?

Put down the crack pipe, gospodin Kommissar.

If you still think your analogy is valid, you might want to reflect on the words of Winston Churchill, who said something to this effect:

"At a man's funeral, it is not customary to give an invitation to the murderer of the deceased."

In this era where one-sided American propaganda is already exposed all over the world both the Dalai and Omar are Saints to their avid followers and who are we to judge?

There's one thing about free speech you fail to comprehend. Free speech means no one can tell people what to say or not to say ON WHATEVER MEDIA THEY HAPPEN TO OWN.

That means that no one -- not you, not me, not the State -- can tell the publishers of the NYT, the Taipei Times or the China Post what to print. That means that a Nazi cannot order a Jewish magazine to print his letters. And that also means that I am under no obligation to permit you to turn my blog into a platform for Taliban terrorist sympathizers such as yourself.

Because I PAID for this microphone, Mr. Green.

But freedom also means that you're free to start your own blog and write to your heart's content. (Perhaps you can call it the "Mullah Omar Islamofascist Fan Club".)

Knock yourself out. I will disagree with everything you say on your own blog, but I will among the first to speak on your behalf if Chang Chung-jung or some other petty tyrant tries to shut you down.

I did'nt say I am a Taliban follower. Why do you lie?

On the contrary. A certain commenter based in Taipei recently came to my site and:

1) Announced that Islamofascist Mullah Omar was the moral equivalent of the Nobel-Peace-Prize-Winning Dalai Lama.

2) Claimed that Mullah Omar was just a poor, innocent victim of evil American propaganda.

3) Expressed admiration for Mullah Omar's courage.

4) Went further on to insist that those who oppose Mullah Omar are anti-Islamic.

5) Subsequently attempted to post numerous "Allahu Akbar" messages.

Unfair to describe the commenter as a Taliban supporter? On that, reasonable men may draw their own conclusions.

Incidentally, issuing terrorist threats on multiple occasions against the minority population of foreigners living in Taiwan? How VERY un-Taliban of you!

(Oh, that's right. They weren't threats...it was just "friendly" advice!)
