I hope the jails in Taiwan are not as bad as you say. A Britsh Doctor Alastair Penney who has mental problems is locked up in Jail in Kaohsiung because the Britsh representative in Taiwan wont help him. Hope he gets out!

I know nothing about that particular case, so I can't comment on it.
But most likely though, the KMT doesn't have any political grudges against him. So what I said in the post won't apply.
